THE MISSING FRUIT ON THE HOLIDAY TABLES

Moldovan grapes have been and still are appreciated for their rich and complex aroma. 1/2 from the total volume of table grapes from Republic of Moldova are exported every year from Costești. From this volume, we export ⅓, approximately 1000 tons per year.

We have experience in exporting grapes since 2000, and since 2019 we already export our own production. Although in Moldova are grown almost 80 varieties of table grapes, we produce the table variety "Moldova" of Pergola type.

Description:

Variety specific to the Republic of Moldova, with large bunches and elongated berries. It is the only variety that can be stored until March. The bunches have a cylindrical or conical shape, with a medium grain density and a weight of about 385 g, oval, dark purple covered with a pronounced layer of bloom. The skin is usually thick, dense and hard, the pulp is fleshy and crunchy.

Packing

The sorted grapes are packed in cardboard boxes, in wooden crates or in flow pack casseroles, depending on customer demand. The process is a continuous one and involves the purchase of packaging, corners, pallets, palletizing cloth and clamps.

Boxes or crates are stored on pallets, which are loaded into refrigerated trucks for export.
